Sabino Canyon

Sabino Canyon is located in the Santa Catalina Mountains and the Coronado National Forest north of Tucson. Sabino Canyon is a great place for walking, hiking and enjoying nature.

This great landscape with steep rocky cliffs and unique desert vegetation is inhabited by various animal species that withstand high temperatures during the summer, so you can meet the Gila monster, Bobcat, Gambels quail, Eastern tie lizard, gopher snake and much more. Due to winter snowmelt and summer storms, Sabino Creek flows for most of the year.

There is a great variety of trails in the Sabino canyon. The Seven Waterfalls trail is very popular for hiking enthusiasts. The out and back trail provides a breathtaking view and a series of seven waterfalls. No vehicles are allowed in the canyon, so this and other trails are accessed via a shuttle.
