Located in southeastern Arizona on the east side of the Huachuca Mountains, this canyon is quite different from most places in Arizona.
Ramsey Canyon is a deep, shady, wooded ravine surrounded by greenery, with lots of birds, ponds and great hiking trails. The walk along the trails of this canyon is extremely pleasant, especially because of the shades of the tall trees and the stream that flows along the trail. Compared to much of Arizona, the canyon’s vegetation is very lush due to running water throughout the year, and wildlife is very diverse. This area is known for a large number of birds, and along the trail there are benches for rest, a great place for bird watching.
The most beautiful hiking trail is the Hamburg trail, which leads up a steep climb to the Crest trail in Huachucas, where fewer people go and from where there is a great view of the canyon.
If you want to enjoy a long walk, surrounded by wildlife and trees, this is the right choice.
