Monument Valley

One of the most frequently filmed and photographed motifs of the United States is Monument Valley.
Low lonely rocks up to 300m high that emerge from the scorched desert are a symbol of the USA.

Monument Valley sits on the border of Arizona and Utah on the Navajo Indian Reservation. Anyone who has spent time in the rock formations of the valley Monument knows that there is much to experience and see. Monument to the valley is the age-old home of the Navajo people. No one knows when the first Navajo were settled in the area but Navajo families have lived in the valley for generations and learning about their culture and tradition is just as interesting as touring the valley’s monuments.

Great time to go is in July or August during the monsoon season. You will have more clouds in the sky and you will even be able to see lightning and because of that it will make your view more spectacular. Sunrise when the sky turns dark blue and then pink is a special experience.

The view from a distance is breathtaking, and the journey through unreal rock formations is something you have to experience. Most visitors stop at the Totem Pillar, a stone tower 450 feet high and only 20 feet wide to which Navajo culture attributes many mystical powers.
