Flatiron via Siphon Draw Trail

Flatiron is a prominent geological feature in the Superstition Mountains and is a popular but challenging hike.

The Flatiron via Siphon Draw Trail is a difficult and very demanding trail that is primarily used for hiking. This starts at the Mining Camp Rest. which is closed. Normal start is at Lost Dutchman SP. It is a difficult and very demanding track that will test you in every part. There are a lot of steep walls, so climbing is inevitable, but the view is spectacular. The video shows what part of the climb to the top looks like.

On Nov 23, 2011 a small plane with 5 people, including 3 children crashed into this features called Ship Rock. No one survived the fiery crash.
